1732 - Rev. Fr. Gaston Lawrence Coeurdon S.J., reaches Pondicherry, vowing to establish a Carmel Convent and a Refugee Home.
1748 - Fr. Gaston Lawrence Coeurdon S.J., establishes a Carmel Convent in Pondicherry, the forerunner of Bon Secours Congregation.
1764 - Jesuit Order is suppressed in France.
1771 - Fr. Michael Ansaldo S.J., a Jesuit Priest, came to India
1775 - Bon Secours Refugee Home and Gonzaga Refuge Home are established by Fr. Michael Ansaldo S.J.,
1777 - The French mission takes over the responsibility of the Institutions run by the Jesuits.
1779 - After sowing the seeds for the two Homes, Fr. Gaston Lawrence Coeurdon S.J., passes away.
1794 - Anglo French war in Pondicherry. The two Refuge Homes support many war destitutes.
1800 - Amidst war and severe famine the two Refuge Homes shelter 70 young women.
